Terms of use
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms apply when a business ("the customer") uses HEAT, the booking and automation system for saunas provided by HEAT, Lønningsvegen 47, 5258 Blomsterdalen, Norway ("we"). By creating an account or using the service, the customer accepts these terms.
1.The service
HEAT is a cloud service for booking, payments, smart locks, heater control, customer communication and CRM for saunas.
We develop the service continuously and may change, add or remove features. Changes that materially reduce the service are announced in advance.
2.Who these terms are for
The service is for businesses. Consumer protection law therefore does not apply between the customer and us.
The customer is the seller to their own guests and is responsible for their own terms of sale, prices, cancellation rules and information given to guests.
3.Account and access
The customer is responsible for keeping login details safe and for all use of the account. Suspected unauthorised access must be reported to us without undue delay at kontakt@heatbooking.com.
4.Prices and payment
The price is from NOK 990 per month plus a 1.99% transaction fee on payments made through the system. The final price is set out in the quote or agreement with the customer.
Prices exclude VAT. The subscription is invoiced monthly in advance. For late payment we may charge interest under the Norwegian Late Payment Interest Act and, after written notice, suspend access until the outstanding amount is paid.
Price changes are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
5.Smart locks, heaters and other equipment
The service controls third-party equipment such as smart locks and sauna heaters. The customer is responsible for the equipment being installed and maintained properly, in line with applicable regulations and the manufacturer's instructions, and for safety in the sauna.
We are not responsible for faults or outages in third-party equipment, networks or services, such as payment providers and lock or heater suppliers.
6.Availability and support
We work to keep the service stable and available, but cannot guarantee that it is always error-free or uninterrupted. Planned maintenance is carried out at quiet times where possible. Support is available at kontakt@heatbooking.com and by phone.
7.Data and privacy
The customer owns the data entered into the service, including information about their guests. For guests' personal data, the customer is the data controller and we are the data processor. We enter into a data processing agreement with the customer in line with the GDPR.
8.Rights to the service
All rights to the service, the software and the HEAT trademark belong to us. The customer receives a non-exclusive right to use the service while the agreement is in force.
9.Limitation of liability
We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost bookings or loss of data, unless the loss is caused by gross negligence or intent. Our total liability is limited to what the customer has paid for the service in the last 12 months.
10.Term and termination
The subscription runs until it is cancelled. The customer can cancel with effect from the end of the current month.
In the event of a material breach, either party may terminate the agreement with immediate effect.
After termination, the customer can ask for an export of their data for 30 days. After that, the data is deleted.
11.Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Material changes are announced to the customer at least 30 days before they take effect.
12.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation. If that fails, Bergen District Court is the agreed venue.
13.Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to kontakt@heatbooking.com.
